IS SPIRITUALITY JUST A CAPTION?



Ages have come, ages have gone…
What have we done being the most intelligent animal on this earth so far?
Oh! Yes development…development of technology, development of society, development of ideas and development of “ideals”. Do we really notice that we are lost in this race of “development”? And so much lost, that we have forgotten our own cult, our own believes.

Today I noticed something that proved me all this and that was ‘the ongoing celebration of durga puja’ all around. Nearby my home, there was one such celebration going on…huge pratima of “devi ma”was established, all décor makes you aware of the fact that it is a ‘durga puja celebration’. But where your eyes believe it, your ears may rebel and you know why? because ‘’dance pe chance maar le”,”jhum barabar jhum” and all bollywood ragas being played there don’t let you feel like a goddess is being worshiped. It seems more like a late night party from a distance, until you see that place and tell yourself-no! Its actually a navratri or a durga puja celebration.

Another example I got when I switched on my television.
How could have the daily soaps missed this occasion to pass their few episodes.
So, here it was…durga puja celebration in almost every serial of every entertainment channel. Naming “tere liye” a famous opera of “starplus” was doing the same.’pratima of ‘devi ma’ beautifully placed as the backdrop, all characters dressed up traditionally with full make-up and accessories ofcource…once you see that you might say so spiritual is all that, but its too early to say trust me. In the next shot you find out that 2-3 little kids are coming from behind, holding microphones in their hand, standing in front of the ‘devi ma’s pratima’ and singing out “jhoom barabar-jhoom barabar-jhoom”.
So! Isnt that becomes a bit difficult to find out what is the actual event?
A “durga puja celebration” or it’s just an entertaining evening? A big question arises-“is just putting the picture of god and goddesses at the background can be called out spiritual really? Or is it like today we need some tags just to get ourselves entertain and “durga puja” has become one of them.

Heroism in staying cool and calm

Recently i was watching a movie in which few road side boys approaches the hero and challenge him to beat them in a race of looting a kite. After some provoking dialogues the hero agrees. Though he looses the race but remains unaffected . However in other flicks we all have seen many times the hero show casing his strength in return of some unsophisticated words hitting his manhood.  He wins or looses, but if he gets provoked, where is the strength? If anybody or everybody can make the hero do what they want, where is the heroism? Sometimes i wonder if we actually understand what we are trying to portray through these acts. Why our hero is so short tempered? As six pack abs do not justify a vulnerable mind. There lies a huge difference in between a 'strength' and how do we  make people see that in somebody. Its not about the right quality, but the portrayal of it is what makes an impression. It may be good if we show a protagonist ignoring any crap from unwanted elem...

PRICELESS...

Delhi…capital of india.Delhi…a big city with big buildings, big life style but there are somethings bigger than that here and that are the dreams of those thousands of people who come here every day.its a place where people come from everywhere and get mixed to its culture and make it theirs .they bring in their originality and loose it somewhere in the rush of desires and dreams of  many.people Say they have changed,but this does not stops anybody and people keep coming here. I also got added to the list of those people  few months back when i came here for doing my masters. bit nervous bit exited I was when I entered the new delhi station with my family,who came here just to drop me.its not easy to leave your home and live in a city completely unknow to you,atleast it was not for me.1st day,2 nd day….days went and I wanted to run from here.may be because that time I didn’t know what I was going to get here. Yes!my platform was here where I could see myself moving...

हिन्दु देदो नाम मुझे नाम मुझे चाहे मुस्लिम कहलादो चाहे गुरुद्वारे के द्वारे या ईसा  से मिलवादो चाहे तो गीता के पाठ कहूँ चाहे कुरान  सिखलादो चाहे तो काशी विश्वनाथ या हाजिअली दिखलादो भगवान  एक है नाम कई अरे क्यों समझ ना तू पाता क्यों हाथों में है कटार , क्यों मानवता झुठलाता क्यों  धर्म के पर अधर्म तू करता जाता करता जाता अरे!अब तो बस कर बहुत हो गई मज़हब धर्म जाती कि लड़ाई मारा जो वो हिन्दुस्तानी था भाईजान कहो या भाई रक्त जो निकला लाल रंग था कैसे पहचानूँ किस मज़हब का मैंने तो ना पाईं वो आँखें जो देख सकें किसी अंतर  को चेहरा दिखे ना आवाज़ कहे  किस  मै किस जाति किस मज़हब का फिर क्यों तू अंतर करता है ऊपरवाले ने जब न किया हम एक पहचान एक हिन्दुस्तानी हमें नाम  दिया हिन्दुस्तानी हमें  नाम  दिया ।.
